LEAGUE TO REOPEN; FALCONS LOOK TO DEFEND TITLE

11chamfalx3

The Michigan Falcons dumped the Seattle Spartans 7-4 in game five of the Drunks Cup to win their second championship in four years amid rampant speculation that the DWSHL would be shutting its doors. As it would come to pass, the league did fold and the Falx had the bittersweet distinction of being the last champions of the storied league. Or so we thought. Fast forward four years and after a handful of broken down talks and refusals the league has been given a second life and has been met with popular demand. The Falcons are among the early contenders for the 12 Drunks Cup but the landscape of the league as a whole has changed with new rules, many retirements, and the parity of the league at a recent high. Many story lines have begun to develop as the league’s general managers have started to be reacquainted with their peers and are underway in the process of rebuilding their rosters. The DWSHL12 season is bound to excite.
